Hertz car rental in Graz

Graz might look small on the map, but once you’ve got a car, it feels much bigger in the best way. One minute you’re driving through the Old Town with its baroque buildings and modern touches, and the next you’re out on open roads, passing vineyards and those easy Styrian backroads that make you want to keep driving.

It also works really well as a base. You can do a quick run down to the South Styrian Wine Road for cellar doors and countryside views, swing by Schloss Eggenberg for a culture stop, or plan a calmer day out to nearby thermal spa towns and lakes.

Visiting in winter? The mountain routes are close enough for a simple alpine detour.

With Hertz car rental Graz, the practical stuff stays straightforward. Pick a pickup location that suits your plans, choose the right Graz car hire for city driving or longer trips, and you’re free to explore on your own schedule.

Charging Points

Graz has more than 340 public EV charging points spread across the city. The wider Austrian public charging network has been expanding quickly in recent years, so the number of options in and around Graz is only trending upward. That momentum makes hiring an EV through Hertz in Graz feel straightforward, whether you’re sticking to city drives or heading out into Styria for day trips.

Congestion Charges

If you're planning to get a car rental in Graz, Graz itself has no Low Emission Zone after the Austrian LEZ framework. However, the Steirmark (Styria) region has a low-emission zone for lorries and heavy goods vehicles in place. This means that lorries and vans circulating in Graz have to meet the minimum Euro 3 standard.

Hertz offers EV car rentals in Graz, making it easy to choose a low-emission option for a more environmentally conscious drive.
